K9 Nosework is a new dog sport that is taking the dog world by storm. Our class will help develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by harnessing the love to hunt, play with toys, food rewards and exercise. It’s a fantastic way to have fun with your dog, build your dog’s self esteem and confidence as well as burn lots of physical and mental energy! This class focuses on excellent/masters level standard agility course challenges as well as tournament and international course challenges. We will be working on executing contacts at speed, course analysis, and perfecting timing and side changes as well as building consistency and teamwork. Additional focus on distance skills and balancing turn cues (excel/decel, verbal and hand signals, etc). Instructor: Chris Ott

Whether your dog is a social butterfly, a ground sniffer or a bit of a slow poke, this class will help you understand and fix distraction and motivation issues to get your dog focused and running with you. Using equipment specifically designed for dogs by FitPaws (www.balldynamics.com) we will help condition your dog as well as assist in recovery from injuries and/or surgery. Fit Fido is an excellent way to burn off a bit of energy for all dogs. The exercises are fun and the dogs love it. Come on out and try a class for 3 weeks, you and your dog will LOVE it! . The American Kennel Club is sanctioning a team of Juniors to represent the United States and compete the 2012 European Open Juniors Championship being held in Pinkafeld, Austria in July 13-15, 2012. Any junior handler interested in being considered for a position on the USA Team may submit an application. Dogs of any breed, including Mix Breeds, regardless of registration are welcome to apply. Applications must be received no later than April 1, 2012. All files regarding Team Application and Travel to Austria are available through the Team Coach: Chris Ott (EOJ2012@me.com).

It is with great excitement that I announce that I have been selected to coach this years USA Team for the Agility European Open Junior World Championship Team on July 13-15 2012 in Pinkafeld, Austria. FMI: http://www.eojunior2012.at/englisch/home/
The future of our sport lies with our juniors and events like these are a wonderful opportunity for our future World Champions to learn the sport on an international level. In the following weeks we will be holding fundraisers to help fund team expenses; dog transport, uniforms, travel, etc. Team supporter shirts will be available on our website as well as other opportunities to help support the team.
