Chris Ott is a full time dog agility competitor, coach, award winning author of dog training materials and international seminar presenter. She is also a top breeder of performance Border Collies. Students and dogs of her breeding have won Westminster Kennel Club’s Agility Championships, AKC/Eukanuba National Agility Invitational, AKC, USDAA and UKI Agility Championships, as well as being selected to represent the USA at FCI World Championships and Crufts. Many of Chris’ students hold placements in the nations top 5 of their breed. Speedoggie has been turning out successful performance dog teams for close to four decades.
Chris is well known for her in-depth knowledge of individual dog breeds and how best to train dogs of different body types and temperaments. Chris works with all breeds of dogs, including mixed breeds, at all levels of training. Her training program produces dogs that compete well into their senior years while remaining sound and healthy throughout their careers. Chris is also known for her problem solving skills and customized training programs to fit each teams individual needs.
Chris dedicates hundreds of hours a year and travels internationally to continuing her own education in both dog training and behavior, rehabilitation and injury prevention, agility judging and course design, as well as adult (human) learning to better help all her students and their dogs regardless of their learning styles.
